I am fairly certain that John Bunyan Lewis and one of his brothers settled in Franklin County since they each have a grave in Hammond Cemetery. I was directed to this publication by another doing genealogy: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/il/topic/history/LewisCassieB.html In the above bio it mentions Cassie's grandfather as being from South Carolina and not North Carolina. I have no definitive evidence personally of the connection but if you have anything that points that direction I would appreciate it. I currently only trust my tree information back to John Bunyan Lewis. I do not have definitive evidence of his father or siblings except for the brother that came to Franklin County.
