I am related to the William Allen in Carroll County VA and some researchers want to confuse these two Williams and it drives me crazy! I picked up on the Tabitha Churchill Bailey thing years ago because my John Allen was supposed to have been married to a Tabitha - last name either Bailey or Keith and I thought that there may be something to it, but as it turns out it's about a generation or so off for it to fit.
