James parents were Thomas Lewis married to Jane Walkingstick. I noticed that you said Jane's first name was Mary. I did not know Jane's first name was Mary. I knew she was Cherokee, I have a picture of Jane and Thomas taken off an original tin plate dated in 1847. Jane died Jan 1850 of Cancer in Pope County, Arkansas.
