NC, Widow Mary Couch married widow John Patterson age 60.   1783 Orange Co NC marriage of John Couch & Elizabeth Campbell.    1787 April 7 Orange Co NC  John Patterson dies    1796 April Orange Co NC will of Mary Couch Patterson states:      All her estate to be equally divided among the surviving children of John Couch & Besty, his wife deceased.  The children named are Mary, Letitia, July, Eleanor & Elizabeth.  All under the age of 18. Executors worthy friends Robert Campbell, Roger Daniel, & John Couch. Witnesses: Robert Couch & Roger "X" Daniel.    1799 Oct 25 widow John Couch marries Susannah Smith (d/o Martha & John  Smith)          Orange Co  NC wills 1752-1800 book C page 79 by Ruth Henderson Shields.              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1823 July in Mecklenberg Co. the will of John Couch mentions a wife Susannah.        Children:  John S., Polly, Letty, Julia,  Elinor & Elizabeth,           (the same children Mary Couch Pattersons' will....conclusion:.her grandchildren)     John S. Couch married Lettitia (Letty) married twice Mary (Polly), Julia (July), Eleanor (Elinor) & Elizabeth never married.   Mary Gene Elliott of Ga. is a living  decentant of Lettitia or Letty.      Comments; Couch, Campmpbell, Lewis families please   Vic
