Alexander M Spotswood was the son of General Alexander Spotswood and Elizabeth Washington a niece of George Washington. I am now thinking that Alexander Lewis was somehow connected to Col Andrew Lewis of the Battle of Point Pleasent. The interesting thing about Col Andrew Lewis is that he was not related to the Lewis' of Meriwether Lewis but he was related to the Meriwether's of Meriwether Lewis.
