I am also following a Alexander Lewis. I know he is not the same Alexander Lewis as yours since this family was into riverboats and they mostly shipped goods and iron between Kentucky and Pittsburgh. Every now and again I get a record of tabacco shippments from Kentucky that end up in Baltimore. The Tabacco then seems to be shipped to Richmond and Norfolk VA.
