I believe my Alexander Lewis was connected to Col Andrew Lewis of Point Pleasent. Col Andrew Lewis is not related to the Lewis family of Meriwether Lewis but he is related to the Meriwether's of Meriwether Lewis. Both Lewis families came from Fredericksburg VA and are intermixed with the Washington and Spotswood families. You might look at the History of Lord Dunmore and the Norfolk Va Area and the Battle of Point Pleasent. You might also want to look at Col William Preston of Kentucky.
