My daughter Judy Reeds Downer recently wrote to you. As she explained, I knew Skinny in 1962. It is a long story that I can tell you if you are interested, but basically I became pregnant and was forced to give Judy up for adoption. I found her about 10 years ago to my great joy. I had tried to find Skinny off and on, and it is so sad to learn that he has passed away before I could find him. However, maybe that was meant to be. I'm so sorry for your loss and that of his wife and sons. I have very fond memories of his mother, Anna. I'm wondering if you were named after her. As Judy said, we don't want to disrupt the family in any way. We trust your judgment if you think it would be best for us not to have any further contact. But if you do think it would be a good experience for everyone to meet us, that would be absolutely wonderful.
