In my research I have gathered info on John Lewis/Margaret Linn. John's grandfather was William Lewis, b1632, Wales. Wife Mary CcClelland, b1638, England. Their son was Andrew Lewis, b1648 Donegal Co. Ulster, Ireland. Wife, Mary Calhoun,b1652. Their son John b 1680 married Margaret Linn, b. 1698. The only connection I have found to Meriwether is Elizabeth Lewis (Thomas,John,Andrew,William)she was born 1783 and married Thomas Meriweher Gilmer, son of Peachy Ridgeway Gilmer and Mary Meriwether.
