I am related to this branch of the Lewis family through Matthew Hiram Lewis (as shown by y-chromosomal DNA analysis) and have been unable to find definitive proof of Anthony's parentage. I have seen some postulation that his parents were Thomas Lewis and Martha Bennett(?) and that he was raised by Joyce Skinner England Cripp after his father died. The latter was based on information from the will of Joyce Skinner Cripp. I would be grateful for any information you can provide on the ancestors of Anthony Lewis.
