Obituary: Mr. E. R. Ray Lewis - (1927-2009) Published Thursday, December 31, 2009 Mr. E. R. Ray Lewis died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, in Decatur, Texas Funeral for E. R. "Ray" Lewis, 82, of Paradise, Texas, was Dec. 28 2009, at Hilltop Assembly of God in Boyd, Texas with the Rev. Billy Fitch officiating. Burial was at Aurora Cemetery. Mr. E. R. Ray Lewis, born May 10, 1927, in Caldwell, Texas, to Ruben and Emma Lou (Lawrence) Lewis He married Ruby Young March 26, 1945, in Seagraves. They were married for 60 years until her death in December 2004. He served in the U.S. Navy, owned Lewis Water Well Company and was a founder of Hilltop Assembly of God Church in Boyd, Texas, where he served as deacon. He was named Deacon of the Year of the North Fort Worth section of the Assemblies of God. He married Lydia Ruth Barrons June 22, 2005, in Boyd. He was preceded in death by his first wife and, One son, Terry Edwin Lewis. He is survived by his wife; Sons, Larry Lewis and wife, Janet, and Roger Lewis and wife, Melinda, all of Paradise; Daughters, Cindy Bradford and husband, Paul, of Rushton, La., Pat Swindell and husband, Ray, of Paradise and Anita Golaz and husband, James, of San Antonio; stepson, Frank West of Paradise; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; One Brother, Thomas West of Paradise, Texas; and One Sister, Mrs. Margaret Vuicich of Seagraves.
