Mine did turn out this way, proving my ancestry, and unfortunately in some ways showing the Father of my Great-grandfather was his mother's Father, Harrison Lewis. But, let me caution you here. Sorenson does the Ancestry.com testing, and their customer service is absolutely worthless and unhelpful. FTDNA is the best-in fact, if you hook up with the Lewis surname project, you can get a discount most of the time. FTDNA lists off the shortcomings and positives on their site, and have a great reputation. Sorenson was cheaper, but their site organization is horrible. They put my tests results under my mother's name, and two separate accounts, and do not allow me to check my results with other's of my own last names. Their to MRCA is entirely fabricated, as I found out when I looked up things on genetic testing sites AND FTDNA. If I may, I totally regret my using Sorenson. I strongly and nearly hysterically suggest ignoring them, and your going with ftdna They do offer scholarships on the name site. Also, ancestry does not have surname groups publish results, so you can't compare them directly like ftdna does-which also does ysearch.org. FTDNA has a wonderful reputation. BTW, my mother's from MA, just near you. I was born in Marlborough Hospital, BTW. Please, choose ftdna and the lewis surname project for FTDNA. Don't waste your time with anyone else, not even as a joke.
