Does anyone know if the Joseph F. Lewis b. abt. 1825 in Tennessee and found in Crawford County, Arkansas married to Melissa in 1850 is the same Joseph F. Lewis who is found in Llano County, Texas in 1860? The Texas Joseph Lewis then moved to California shortly before 1870. I believe Joseph Lewis found in Crawford County, Arkansas is the son of Earl Eason Lewis and Elizabeth McAllister so the Elizabeth Lewis in 1860 could be his mother although Elizabeth McAllister was supposedly born in Kentucky in abt. 1784 and I have been unable to find her in the 1850 census. 1850 Census: Richland, Crawford, Arkansas; Roll: M432_25; Page: 318; Image: 630. Lewis and Franklin W. Fristoe. Franklin and Sarah married in Ray County, Missouri on 10 December 1868. You can find them together in the 1870 Middleton, Lafayette County, Missouri census living with Franklin's father and mother, William & Susan Fristoe (both born in Kentucky). I think you have something messed up. I have no Reuben Lewis in my line that I know about. I have a Reuben Johnson who married a Margaret Lewis. This Margaret's father is my brick wall. To my knowledge I have no one in Oregon. I live in West Virginia and My Lewis line is from Maryland.
