What I've been able to ascertain is that there were at least three or four generations of Isaac LEWISes in this family. There was an Isaac LEWIS on the 1793 Militia list who is most likely the father of the Isaac LEWIS, Jr. who married Elizabeth MOORE in Salem County in 1807. Isaac and Elizabeth (I believe) are the parents of Isaac LEWIS who married Margaret KIGER in 1832 in Salem County and also my 2nd-great-grandmother Mary Ann LEWIS who married John M. KIGER also in 1832 in Salem County. Isaac and Margaret LEWIS and John and Mary Ann KIGER BOTH had sons named Isaac--so the given name Isaac goes way back in this LEWIS family.
