Third after death of Elizabeth James, John married Widow Mary Patterson, and yes her data is recorded in Richmond, Virginia. Mary Patterson has no children by JOHN COUCH - both were in old age and JOHN being so obese in physical size was never able to remarry a fourth time before he died in 1830 / 1833 era. Hope that helps clear up the Mary Patterson marriages and her children. JOHN in CA

    3. John in Ca.   If Elizabeth James married Patrick Campbell Jr. & they had no children as you say. SO that would mean Elizabeth was NOT the mother to John & Wm Campbell of Perry Co Ky. Is this correct?     If so I do not need Patrick's family history.   And again I will say John & Wm's DNA does NOT match with any Patrick Campbell, Grissel Hay, Delilah Thompson or Elizabeth Taylor as been reported in the past. Is this correct?   Vic ========================================================= In a message dated 10/7/2009 1:55:45 PM Pacific Standard Time,  m5x95@sbcglobal.net writes: There is no match to Patrick Campbell, Grissel Hay, Delilah  Thompson or Elizabeth Taylor as has been reported in the past.    VIC ====================================================== Vicki, That may be true in the Campbell DNA studies. Great news cousins,      With DNA testing we have been able to established 2 different Campbell families in Perry co.   John Campbell & Mary Couch, then John Zack Campbell & Nancy Shirley families.    The John Campbell (Mary Couch) have 3 gentlemen who match & stand alone in their group.      There is no match to Patrick Campbell, Grissel Hay, Delilah Thompson or Elizabeth Taylor as has been reported in the past.   Nor the Rich Valley Amherst Co Campbells.   John Zack Campbell (Nancy Shirley) have 7 matches in their group.   The Couch family matches with many Couch's of Orange Co NC & then some moved to Enrore River SC. Thomas Couch & Elizabeth unkn. Then Capt Thomas Couch of London England & sea merchant of the ship The Palm.     Vic

    3. Hello, Just a quick note to say I have just heard from a descendant of the .13. LEWIS siblings of Stoneham, MA. I've been trying to gather information about them and their descendants for at least 3 years. In one way or another, posting queries or writing slow-mail letters, I have found about a dozen descendants. When Stanley and Mary LEWIS both died of cancer in 1923 and 1924, their mostly adult children moved out of Stoneham. Two of the younger ones moved out to the Los Angeles, CA, area. I had already found 2 descendants of John LEWIS, and now I have found a descendant of Mrs. Helen (LEWIS) TALMADGE. I started writing up a report about this family 2 years ago, and I very much want to finish it this year. A reminder is that both "Stanley" LEWIS and Mary CORKILL were born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England ~1860, and were "shipped to Canada" in 1874. In Canada, the "over 100,000" children arriving there were referred to as "British Home Children." On the ship with Stanley were 3 LEWIS girls. I believe Josephine married into a LANE family in Nova Scotia. I don't know what happened to the younger girls, Elizabeth LEWIS and Mary LEWIS, arriving there in 1874. (One possibility is that they were adopted and had their names changed. The 3 girls were not siblings of Stanley, and I don't believe they were directly related.) Betty (near Lowell, MA) Remember to check the archives of all the Lists and Boards for your surnames and place-names. And, please remember to check the on-line auctions for for your surnames and place-names.
