    1. [LEWIS] Message on the Board
    2. Betty
    3. Hello, I don't know why that message on the Board was deleted (probably by Admin of Board). The mention of the surname books has been going on for ~6 mos., and it is a scam. The people have been posting on every popular surname Board. The Help Desk is aware of it, and they are trying to stop the people from posting it. Betty (near Lowell, MA)

Author: JudyMcG Surnames: Lewis Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.lewis/12078.2.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Michael and Cindy, I've been reading your posts and wondering if we have a connection somewhere. My Lewises in that area at that time were Cornelius and his children Electra, Micajah, Genjna, Elijah, Rebecca and Zadock, and his grandchildren. I have an excerpt from a web site that mentions Sarah Rouse Sampson, widow of Joseph Sampson. Our family lore mentions 3 brothers sailing from Holland to Boston in separate ships with one of the brothers being lost at sea. (Everybody seems to have a similar story!) I don't know of any of them going to Canada, but I really only know about the descendants of Zadock, and a little about Micajah and Rebecca. Zadock (Revolutionary War soldier) died in Marlborough, Ulster County, NY and at least some of his descendants went to Indiana. Do you see any connections?
