My first LEWIS Line: John Lewis b. abt. 1740 and unknown had 6 known children:Nancy, Earle Eason, Mary, Thomas, Samuel and Hugh Lewis.He died in 1809 in Caldwell County, Kentucky Earl Eason Lewis b. bet. 1760-1770 VA m.Elizabeth McAllister b. abt. 1784 of TN and they had 3 proved children:Harriet, Claibourn, and David Eason but they also had other children.These are probably theirs as well:James M., Mary, and Joseph Franklin, and perhaps Peyton.  Earle died between 1840-1850 in Crawford County, Arkansas. James M. Lewis is my first proved ancestor in this line but I believe through circumstantial evidence James may be a son of Earl Eason Lewis above. There is discrepant information mostly from family oral history on James M. Lewis and little proved factual data. Michael... my 6th Gr Grandfather David Lewis was born in Pychyawaxon, Charles, Maryland in 1694... it appears his family moved from there to the Chester County PA area before he migrated on to North Carolina. He died in Cateret County NY in 1773. his son John was born 1820 in Orange County VA, married to Precilla Brooks in VA then moved to Rowan/Guilford/Randolf County NC. He died in Randolph County NC. his son David was born 1747 in Guilford County NC and died in Anderson County SC his son Isaiah was born 1769 in Guilford County NC, moved to Warren County KY about 1800 then to Edwards County IL about 1816 or so. stayed there about 10 years then moved to Vigo County IN where he died in 1836. his son Isaiah Jr was born in 1808 in KY and moved to Edwards County IL then to Vigo County IN with his father. He died there in 1856. Most of the family of Isaiah Lewis Sr settled either in Lawrence County IL or Vigo County IN areas....

    3. I am looking for ancestors, siblings or connections to Samuel Cook Lewis (@1825-1877) of Stanstead, Quebec, Canada who married Sarah Ann Packard in 1849 in Stanstead. He immigrated in 1869 and died in Nov 1877 in Malcom, Powesheik, Iowa It is possible that he may be related to Richard, father of John Lewis of Stanhope or Byram, New Jersey.
