Author: countryblu1 Surnames: Lewelling/Clark Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.lewelling/121/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have been working on this line & I am finding that there are a lot of people who have Prudence's father John Clark with the parents Elijah Clarke & Hannah Arrington Clarke, but this is incorrect, as their daughter married the governor of Georgia & I know that that was no Alexander Lewelling. If anyone has any information of Prudence Clark's family line I would appreciate the help. I have reason to believe that John may have married a Native American, as there are several John Clarks listed on the Rolls. But, I have nothing else to go on except that my grandmother said we had an Indian line, but then most people in East TN & West Carolina have heard this.
