They are my cousins grandparents. George had a son Alexander, and his children are my cousin's. Sandra Lee Lesser and I are in touch with each other. George's father was Jacob Lesser, mother Barbara Kauffman. Jacobs father, was Conrad Lesser, mother Elizabeth DeWald, then Valentine Lesser and Elizabeth Schremer/Schromer and then the end of the line that I have is Johann-Adam Lesser, wife Magdalena "Helen" Hartmann. My connection is, my father Harry Lesser, his father Henry S. Lesser, Samuel Lesser, then comes in Conrad Lesser, Valentin Lesser, and then Johann-Adam Lesser. Does this help? What information are you looking for on the Lesser's? As far back as I have researched the name Lesser in our tree is also spelled Lasser, but not Lissauers. There is a possibility that it was spelled differently earlier on. I have only gone back to Johann-Adam Lesser, 1725-1798 as my earliest relative in the Lesser line but, from what I can gather the Lesser's originated from Steinwershausen/steinverhausen, Saxony Meiningen, Germany. That's a mouthful!! Then they immigrated to Russia. Johann-Adam was one of the originating families to settle in Frank, Russia. I have seen other documentation on all the ways the Lesser spelling was changed for whatever reason. My husbands line started out as Kauffman, then went to quite a variety of spellings down the line so, I would assume Lesser could have followed in the same vein. Let me know how I can help. Okay, I know we are related somehow since I've seen the Bott/Batt name in my records. I need to go back through my files and see what I can find. My Dad was Harry Lesser, and my Mom was Emma Reinick, both from Colorado. It seems the Lesser/Reinick names intertwine for many years. I think your family name comes in as maybe a second wife but can't be sure. Anyway, I would love to exchange information if you would be so kind. My relatives are all over Colorado so it would be great to get new information. I've traced the Lesser side back to 1725 to Johann-Adam Lesser, m-Anna Margaretha ?. I had stopped my research because I duplicated several important names and had no idea how to fix them other than deleting the complete profile and starting anew. Unfortunately that just creates a domino effect with everyone else. Got frustrated and just stopped the past few months. That is one thing about the ancestry program is there is no way to merge the names to stop this problem. They should really find a way to fix this because when you first start learning the program you can do this so easily. Oh well!!
