My main area of research has been the BILLMEYER surname since it was my mother’s maiden name. Her family is from the Northumberland/Montour/Columbia County area of Pennsylvania. Among the many Billmeyer’s I’ve come across is Mary (Polly) BILLMEYER. She was born on 15 October, 1795 and died on 15 September, 1873. For a long time I’ve been showing that she married on 1 April, 1813 Philip Lesher. He was born @ 1791 and died on 12 February, 1844. I’ve just come across some information that indicates that her husband’s first name was Jacob, not Philip. Has there been a family history written on the surname LESHER that someone could check to see if there is information on either a Philip or a Jacob Lesher who married a Mary Billmeyer?
