She married Phillip Fisher born abt 1801 in Germany. The Ohio death certificates of several of their children provided the information that their mother was born Sophia Lesher near Cumberland, PA. A search of early census records show 3 Lesher families in Cumberland around the time of Sophia's birth, all living in Hopewell. The heads of these families were David, Peter and John. They all seem to be sons of Casper Lesher. But I have been unable to determine which of these was Sophia's family, although I suspect it might be David. The 1820 census shows 2 females in the correct age range, but Peter's family also had a family in that range. But Sophia's oldest son was named David; my gggrandfather David Fisher born 1836 in PA and died 30 Sep 1869 in Bridgewater Township, Williams County. All their other children were born in Ohio, where they lived by 1841. The family eventually settled in Bridgewater Township, Williams County. Other children known to have survived to adulthood are: James born 30 Mar 1841 at Gangers in Richland County and died 30 Sep 1916 in Pioneer, Williams Co; Charlotte 17 Aug 1843 to 21 Nov 1921 and married David F. Stedman; and Sarah 05 Jan 1857 to 27 Jun 1929 who apparently never married. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
