    1. [Lesher] Lesher family quarterlies
    2. C. Mateer via
    3. I just became aware of the "Lesher Families in America", A quarterly Genealogical Newsletter. The quarterlies were in print from 1987 through 1993 and are filled with a huge amount of research and information. Just 'google' the title and, Index of Lesher ancestry.Lesher Families in America will come up. The newsletters are on "freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com" but it is so much easier to just google the title. I have just skimmed through a few but nothing to help me with Elizabeth Lesher (ca. 1765 - d. after 1840) who married Samuel Paxton (died 1810), both of Bedford Co., PA. Connie M.

    1. [Lesher] Elizabeth of Bedford Co., PA
    2. C. Mateer via
    3. Seeking parents and burial on Elizabeth LESHER born 1755 - 1774 in England, (not proven). She was the second wife of Samuel PAXTON of Bedford County, PA. In the 1810 census in Cumberland Valley, Bedford Co., living beside Elizabeth was William and John LEASURE, possibly brothers ?? In 1840, Elizabeth is still in Bedford with son Thomas Paxton and a younger male b. 1835 - 1840. I don't have a final death date for Elizabeth nor where she is buried. Some say Elizabeth is the daughter of John Lesher and Catharina Wohlfohrt of Berks Co., PA. but their daughter Elizabeth married Christian Walborn.
