I have been searching for the Leister roots and have not been able to find much, until now! My greatgrandmother was Elizabeth, who did marry Jacob Petry.She emigrated in 1889. Her birthdate is December 28, 1866, and she passed away in November 1965. There were three children, Ernest, Elizabeth (my grandmother), and Adolph. Jacob was a dentist, and the family lived on Troy Hill in Pittsburgh. On a census form from 1930 it shows John Leister, adn his family (wife Cecelia, son John, and daughter Cecelia) living next door to the Petrys.
