My GGrandparents, John (1804-1888), and Margaret, (1815-??), Leister lived in Dover, Tuscarawas Co, Ohio. My Grandfather was born in Strasburg, Ohio and My father in Dover. I have been trying to find information about my GGrandmother who is listed on the 1850 census, but not on the 1860 census. She gave birth to a daughter Magalena, in 1853. After that I can find nothing. The other spelling, Lyster, sometime between 1905 and 1912 the name was changed by my grandfather. We know Bernhard came in 1886 and his brothers John and Nicholas the follwing year in 1887. I have conflicting immigration dates for the women, but they seem to point toward 1889 or 1890 for Margaretha and her daughters Elisabeth and Anna.
