This would probably be easy if I were a millionaire to buy all the registrations of missing twigs on my wife's family tree!! I'm not!! I have found Frederick William ROYCE in every census after his birth in 1864, what I want to know is "Who are his parents?". According to the 1871 census he was born in Sewstern, Leics but was living as a grandson with John & Mary ROYCE in the White Horse Inn, High St., Colsterworth, Lincs. In 1881 he was a groom for the HEAVENS in the High St., Colsterworth; thereafter in the police in Middlesex. I wondered if anyone has access to Sewstern baptisms about that time that could help.
