    3. Hi Gill It's possible, but the only record I've got for William is the 1841 census which doesn't state birthplace. His wife Maria was born in Mansfield according to the 1851 census so it's possible that William was from there too.His age in 1841 was given as 70, and Maria's as 50. Actually this is a bit of a brick wall for me as I've never managed to find out where they got married, where William's from, and why John Martin, listed as Maria's nephew, is shown as living with her in 1851 - what happened to his parents and via what branch is he her nephew??
