Hello there.   I must apologise for the delay in thanking those of you who responded to my original enquiry, but the gentleman at Leicester Record Office who is dealing with my query about the availably of books is still away on holiday! However, I have found out that there is a new link on the main website which gives the history of the asylum/hospital. To access this go to the website and on the right scroll down to 'The Towers Hospital History'. It is good to learn that by the standards of the early twentieth century, it was a good and caring institution, so at least my two ancestors were in a "good" place.   Regards.   Adrian.
