I am frustrated at trying to fathom out my ancestors move to Norfolk. Henry MUIRHEAD (abt 1788) & Isabel RANKINE (1782) from Falkirk had 10 children between 1804 & 1826 all in Falkirk. The second born John (1808) apparently married Ann MILLAR (1811) in Cardross, Dunbarton in 1836. Before that, Ann was born in Leicester, (Somerby) in 1832, she was followed by Henry (1836), John (1841), William (1842), Jesse (1843) & James Robert (1849). The 1851 census for South Bond Street, Leicester shows that all after Ann,  were born in Edinburgh except for James born in Greenock. Again all except for Ann moved south to Norwich. It looks as though Henry & Ann were in Leicester and gave birth to Ann, moved back to Scotland and got married, had further family before going back to Leicester. It is possible that they then moved to Norwich,  for on the 1861 census thay are at Coslany Street, Norwich. (Jesse did marry Thomas CATCHPOLE and returned to Leicester before 1881) I have made searches on Scotlands People but cannot seem to trace any of this family, some years ago I applied for a Birth Certificate for James but they could not trace him. I would be grateful if anyone with the slightest bit of info could get in touch. James is my Great Granfather.
