    3. Hi All While searching the British Newspaper Archives for references to my STENSON family, I came across the following article from the Nottingham Evening Post - Thursday 19 July 1900: ART SALE A few highly important objects of art came up for sale at Christie's yesterday, the best prices being as follows:- A miniature of Miss Stenson, of Coalville, by Plimer, 500 guineas; a Louis XVI gold box with six panels, after Greuze, 460 guineas; and a miniature of George Washington, by Smart, 80 guineas. At first I thought Miss Stenson might have been the owner of the miniature but the later item about George Washington seems to prove that Miss Stenson was the subject of the miniature. I was wondering if anyone would know how I might follow this up to find out more about this miniature. Vern in Canada

    3. Hi Verne, Does Christie's have an archive of their sales? Just a thought.
