Hi, Verne, Coalville did exist as a "sort of" community but may not have been called Coalville. As I understand it, parts of Coalville used to belong to the much older community of Hugglescote. My relatives, the Padleys, lived in the same residence on the same street from the late 1850s through the early 1890s. On the early birth, marriage, and death certificates, the family was in Hugglescote. The later certificates say they lived in Coalville. This has caused me no end of frustration sorting out these people. Finally, a kind librarian at the Coalville public library set me straight on the history.
