I've found NBI entries for my great grandparents in Market Bosworth in 1817 and 1827, and was wondering if there is further information to be found. E.g. as I know the date of death, it might be easier to find a will, if there was one. Where should I look? I'm hoping to find what became of their other children (I've only been able to trace my own line forward), are there any documents that would help me with that? --------------------------------------- Hi Sandra, You're in luck - Market Bosworth is one of the comparatively few Leicestershire parishes where the parish registers (as opposed to Bishops' transcripts) have been filmed by the LDS. You will find the film numbers in the Library Catalogue on the LDS website, www.familysearch.org and can then order the films at your local LDS family history centre. By reading through the registers and extrapolating all instances of your family surnames, you may well find baptisms, marriages & burials for the generations before and after your great-grandparents. Similarly, pre-1858 wills and indexes (calendars) have also been filmed by the LDS. To find the film numbers you need to search the Library Catalogue - a place search - "place = Leicestershire" - and scroll down the resulting list to find "Probates". Clicking on that link will lead you to the probates from the Archdeaconry of Leicester. You can order the index film first, to see whether or not either of them left a will. Best wishes, Blanche Charles Wellington New Zealand
