    3. I have HOLMES in Ibstock about this time. One is a John born c. 1849 who was 2 in 1851 census - I have lost him after that. He is on a side branch, not in my direct line. This John HOLMES is buried at Barkby church just out of Leicester (Leicestershire, England) and from the MI he died as above aged 15 so that would make his d of b ca. 1847.

    3. Geraldine, Thanks for the info, he does not appear to be linked to my lot and if the John I originally mentioned has his age stated correctly on the MI then yours was born 2 years too late.
