I have tried for a number of years to find the baptisms of the children of Peter & Ann SCOTTON without success. I have just found a couple of burials on the Leicester Borough Burials Index CD at the above chapel in the right timeframe and wonder if the children might have been baptised at this chapel and not at one of the main churches in Leicester. The children I have so far from the censuses are, Nathaniel c.1825 Joseph c.1830 Sarah Ann c.1832 William c.1834 Mary c.1837 Elizabeth c.1844 John Thomas b. 2/2/1848. But there could be more as there is large gaps in the ages of the children. If anyone on the list can check this chapel for any baptisms for SCOTTON's it would be much appreciated, as I won't be able to get back to the Leicester RO for at least 3 months due to my husband having major surgery.
