I have a Samuel HARRIS (1800) who married Sarah Rose in Ravenstone in 1823.? I believe Samuel was related to the Westcotes HARRISes but cannot find the connection.? There is a Westcotes website which says that there was a Joseph HARRIS (1797) from Worthington who bought Westcotes in 1843. The Westcotes HARRISes were either solicitors or in the church and this is at at odds with my Samuel who on his daughter's wedding certificate was listed as a confectioner.? Of course there are so many HARRISes but am sure there was a link because my WAKEFIELD grandmother used to talk about the family and carried round a photo of Westcotes. Can anyone help?
