I have FTM 2005 and it doesn't seem to have any difficulty pasting into the notes. The key combination ctrl-v pastes whatever is in the paste buffer. (And ctrl-c will copy any selection into the paste buffer) The only really annoying fault I have found with it was that it was totally incompatible with printing on my parents cheap Epson 860 printer for some strange reason everything was white on white. Other programs printed OK. >> I'm getting a new Laptop & I'm toying with the idea of Vista or sticking >> with XP & I was wondering if any of you on this list could help with the >> following questions? >> >> 1.. I, too, am happy with FTM 2005. My main complaint is that I cannot order the information that I choose to include on a tree printout (of *any* kind) chronologically. I would love to see the marriage date interspersed within the various census details in the appropriate place but instead have to place it before them all or after them all <grrrr> I contacted FTM support (some time ago) and they confirmed that I couldn't order them chronologically. If you want to produce your own style of family tree there is Microsoft Visio which I use at work for staff trees, but is also great for hybrids within the family. My Roots Magic produces all the usual ones but sometime trying to show a sideways or diagonal lineage for someone who has contacted me on Ancestry.co.uk, this comes up trumps.Sue Hope (nee Ludlam) > Date: Sat, 1 Dec 2007 20:46:18 +0000> From: pquiney@post.com> To: LEICESTERSHIRE-PLUS-L@rootsweb.com> Subject: Re: [LEI] Family Tree Maker> > I, too, am happy with FTM 2005.
