Hi In 1914 there were approx two dozen Adult Schools in Leicester and all those members of the West End [Narborough Road/Hinckley Road] branch that enlisted had their photographs taken and put into an album. After the war the father of one of those killed presented a wooden plaque commemorating all those that gave their lives but this has since been lost. When they sold the building the album was permanently loaned to the Wigston RO and my mum who is a member and on the Leicestershire Executive would like to find out what happened to them all. At present I only have a list of their names and where known, the regiment they served with but in the next few days I will be receiving from them a copy of the actual photographs as well. If anyone has any information on anyone can they please contact me and I will then be able to forward a copy on to them.
