    3. In that same vein, Nivard, one of the things I value most is the audio tape of my mother talking about her youth in London and the World War II bombings she experienced.  She is crying a lot, and her English accent is quite strong as she reminisces about things, but now that she has passed on, it's a part of her memory I don't want to let go of. If folks haven't taped their relatives yet, NOW is a good time.  Even if they don't want to talk much, just ask them some open questions about their school days or first job.  It's so worth it, I can't find words enough to recommend it.     Lou ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Fri, 21 Mar 2014 09:50:57 +0000 From: Nivard Ovington <ovington.one@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [LEI] Oral Archive To: leicestershire-plus@rootsweb.com Hi Mick Thanks for that but I searched the various links before without finding anything I searched for Great Central Railway and got 8 hits, none for your man, I also tried just HAINES but the only one I came across was a Brian HAINES I must be searching in the wrong place or for the wrong things Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)

    3. I truly wish I had that opportunity but my parents are long gone :-( My dad only had one brother and he passed away in 2006, my mum an only child due to WW1 So as you say, if you have the opportunity, do it today or as soon as you can Oddly yesterday I came across a short video I did not know existed, it was taken in 1992 at a 2nd birthday party of a friends child, there I am (with hair :-) and two of my then young children, wonderful to see I didn't even know a video had been taken so a great find Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 21/03/2014 18:53, Louis Mills wrote: > In that same vein, Nivard, one of the things I value most is the audio tape of my mother talking about her youth in London and the World War II bombings she experienced.
