Hi Jon, My great-grandfather, John Olive, married an Ann Pratt (b.20/1/1843 Cosby) in Paisley on 31 Dec 1866 (maybe they hadn't heard of Gretna!). They returned to live in Cosby. Ann's parents were William Pratt b.1811 Barwell or Elmsthorpe and Hephzibah Gee b. 1815 in Cosby. Haven't found a marriage for them, but haven't tried recently.They had at least 6 offspring all listed in John Savage's excellent database of Cosby BMD's attached to Cosby site in Leicestershire Villages web-site.
