Hi Bruce We've been in touch before: in my SHE[A]VYN tree I have a collateral interest in the GOAD[S]BYs, with the 1763 Mkt Bosworth marriage of Rachel SHEVYN to Robert GOADBY (not my direct ancestors). Additionally, as you know, the name became important in the General Baptist history of the East Midlands, through Rev Joseph GOADBY. (Was he Robert's brother?) Anyway, in researching my NORTONs in Mkt Bosworth, I extrapolated all the GOADBY entries from the PRs, and Arthur Atkins GOADBY is certainly correct. He died in 1847 and Joseph & Mary (Anne) named another son Arthur.
