Hi Mark You may be interested to note that the only John ACKLAND I find in 1841 born 1817 (+/- 5 years) in Leicestershire is residing in the Leicester County Gaol His occupation given as warp hand and age enumerated as 20 (so 20 to 24 years old) In 1851 there is a John ACKLAND b1816 Aylestone Leicestershire with wife Susannah born 1819 St Margarets Leicestershire, they are in Bolton, could he have been married before Elizabeth?
