Geoff The Ault/Alt name (specifically in Shepshed) is on my to-do research list. My line stems from Hannah Alt, baptised 29th September 1710 (verified), daughter of Nathaniel Alt and Hannah Lester, who married by licence at Shepshed 31st December 1701 (also verified). At present I am deeply involved in researching another major line of my ancestry but expect to return to the Alts later this year.
