    3. Brian That's what I thought and it looks like a farm setting, i wonder if he makes horseshoes or shoes horses? I also notice a couple of blacksmiths and a couple of other "Shoe m" entries , James McLeod looks like "Shoe meter" Perhaps he was the village shoemaker after all. The stories from Australia had him as a farmer, but then he came over as Steerage with his wife and 10 children !
