Subject:Walker name in Leicestershire Next year my cousin and I are coming to Leicestershire to search out addresses, locations of burials, etc and wondered if anyone could help us PLEASE. Thomas Walker, b. 1758, Thurcaston married July 15, 1782 Elizabeth Hornbuckle b. 1761 Rothley. It looks like they are buried in Mountsorrel - is this a cemetery and may I have a location please or was there another cemetery used in that time???? Listed as (General) Baptist. his son William Walker, b. 1785 in Rothley m. Nov 9, 1807 in Cossington to Elizabeth Church b. 1784 in Sileby and Baptized Feb 27, 1785. his son Thomas Walker, b. Dec 2, 1811, Cossington (Baptised Dec 25, 1814 General Baptist, Rothley and Sileby) m. June, 1838 to Hannah Gilbert b. 1810, South Carlton, Lincs (General Baptist) - possibly St. Margaret. Is St. Margaret Baptist and may I have a location please???? What would be the burial ground affiliated with this church please???? his son Edward Walker b. Sept 1849, Cossington m. Dec 27, 1869 to Eliza Cork b. June 4, 1849, District Market Bosworth d. Sept. 1890, age 41 Leicester (7a 119). Where is this please???? Married at St. George's Church. Is there a cemetery at this Church and location please???? They lived at 47 Bradgate St Leicester, St. Leonard. Where is this and location please???? Edward and Eliza are my grgrandparents and after both their deaths my grfather and 3 other siblings were place in Muller Orphan House, Ashley Down, Bristol, England. Do I understand correctly that we aren't able to access records as easily anymore and that they have been put into storage in a vault? What is this all about please????
