    3. Hi, New to this list as most of my research has been in Cumbria but have now discovered that my G Grandmother and G Grandfather both came to live with their son in the Syston Area of Leicestershire and both died there Bowman Banks died in 1949 at the 'Rural Infirmary' and lived at Main St Queiniborough. His wife Hannah Banks died in the same area and I beleive that her son Arthur Banks farmed at Syston. Can anyone help with a burial ground in that area or maybe someone has acces to cemetery records that could do a lookup for me please. As it happens I am now living in Bourne In Lincolnshire and would love to be able to come over and locate these two as well as their son Arthur who would also have died by now. In the meantime I have a marriage certificate dated 1920 for an Arthur Banks 29 years of age and a Gertrude Mary Jarvis age 27 . Arthur turned out not to be mine and if the certificate is of any use to anyone they may have it They were married in the Wesleyan Chapel Loughborough. Roy Miskelly

    3. Roy, Whilst the name MISKELLY does not figure in my trees I used to love in Main Street Queniborough in the 50's & 60's and because it was the neighbouring village I spent quite a time in Syston(The Leicester version as there's also one in Lincolnshire I discovered only recently). The coincidences don't stop there as my Dad's ancestors originate from Witham on the Hill & or Manthorpe in the Bourne area so if you happen to stumble across a HOLMES with an interest in genealogy or see any gravestones etc relating to HOLMES if you happen to be in the W-o-t-H/Manthorpe areas I'd love to know about it. Regards from down under! Peter Holmes Western Australia. Skype ; p.g.holmes [HOLMES (Witham on the Hill, Manthorpe, Spalding, Pinchbeck, Donington then Leicestershire)].
