Or any other avenues? > > TIA, > Prue in Dunedin, New Zealand Hi Prue You could try searching for Rose and John BURSNALL in the death indexes, but can I suggest that you first search for them in the probate indexes, especially If there is any hint that they had the slightest amount of money. If you find either of them in the probate indexes you will get the benefit of getting a place of residence and a date of death. A child or other family member may be named in the probate index as an executor. The probate papers are not very expensive and may name other family members. One of them could also be named as an executor of the estate of a BURSNALL family member. I see that John is not listed on the CWGC site as a WW1 casualty.
