Liz: I know in a letter my grandmother wrote me when her mom & her departed from Liverpool, England to St. John's Brunswick it took 8 days. They were suppose to land in Montreal, Canada but the St. Lawrence River was still frozen. That was the end of March in 1920. Then they had to take a long train ride to their destination. Don't know if that helps or not.
