Hi Daphne These births (if recorded) would be in the Overseas indexes (similar to the GRO indexes as found on freebmd but for Army & Consular registrations etc) Most of the Overseas indexes can be searched for free on www.familyrelatives.com You need to register to use them but not give CC details I can only see one birth for a CROOK 1900 - 1915 A Robert Herbert CROOK birth registration can be found in 1900 under Gibraltar in the Army Births, page 11 That would be sufficient detail to order a birth cert from the GRO in the normal way Curiously he also appears to be listed twice more in the Regimental Births As CROOK Robert H - Regiment Royal Artillery - Gibraltar - 1900 - volume 1614 page 69 And CROOK Robert H - Regiment Royal Artillery - Gibraltar - 1900 - volume 1487 page 260 They all three appear to be the same birth or a very strange coincidence It may be worth asking the GRO before ordering if this is a birth of intrest to you NB although I found no more CROOKs after 1900, there appeared to be some before 1900 in the same location and Regiment Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Hi List, > > Can anybody tell me how I can find births in Gibraltar in the 1900 – 1915 time frame ? looking for > the children by the surname Crook. > > Many thanks for any help. > Daphne > New Zealand.
