My great-great-great-great-grandmonther Phoebe Shelton was born in Lougborough in 1787. The IGI lists a baptism at All Saints 31 May 1787 (daughter of Thomas Shelton and Hannah). There is then a marriage to William Woodhouse at St Margaret's, Leicester 9 May 1808. The IGI then lists the baptisms of five children at All Saints, Loughborough between 28 June 1809 and 10 July 1823 (John, Olivetta (my GGGGM), Emily, Alfred and Catherine). The NBI lists a burial at All Saints, Loughborough for Phoebe Woodhouse on 19 January 1835, aged 14, daughter of William and Phoebe. But I haven't found a birth for her in the IGI. There is a burial entry (in the NBI et al) for William Woodhouse at Loughborough All Saints on 14 May 1835 aged 46, FWK. In the 1841 census there is a household of Phoebe Woodhouse and the three youngest children (Alfred, Charles and Catherine) living in Pinfold Gate. HO107 / 595 / book 9 / folio 43 / page 11. (Indexed as Woodhouse Phebs). Then on 7 April 1844 there is a marriage between a Phebe Woodhouse (widow, daughter of Thomas Shelton) and William Hatfield at Loughborough All Saints. So far, I can find nothing after this. No deaths or burials for either William Hatfield or Phoebe Hatfield. Nor can I find them in the 1851 or 1861 census. Does anyone recognise this family ? Can anyone find any other references to William and Phoebe Hatfield ?
