    1. [LEI] St.Margaret's Church
    2. Hi everyone, I want to thank Terry & Mark for their responses. I didn't know there was a All Saints Church in Leicester. I got a film from the LDS for Loughborough, on the film are records from St. Margarets Church. There is a chance there may be some ancestors of mine at St. Margarets too. Thanks so much for all of your help. Mickey Flaville

    3. Question was: "Could someone tell me where St Margaret's Church in Leicestershire is in relation to All Saints Church in Loughborough." Many thanks to Terry & Mark for their replies on the question. I guess the Loughborough/Leicestershire thing just make the searching twice as complicated but not insurmountable. If anything it may just help explain why some records cannot be found. Much appreciated that you pointed this out Mark. Thanks again fella's Judy Newcastle, Ontario, Canada

To answer your specific question, - it's approximately 12 miles. But! I'm wondering if you are asking this question because you have found entries in the IGI (on familysearch.org?) for All Saints, Loughborough - that you suspect could be your Leicester ancestors? Many of these IGI entries are wrong, and should have been recorded as All Saints, Leicester. Around 50 of my ancestors were Baptised, Married, and some Buried at All Saints, Leicester - I have been to the records office in Wigston and checked myself. But almost all are recorded incorrectly as All Saints, Loughborough in the IGI. I have email them several times about it, to no avail. The distance from All Saint's, Leicester to St Margaret's is 400 yards. Mark Ashwell Leicester.
