The website for Woodhouse Eaves has an interactive map, if you hold your mouse cursor over a road it tells you the name. Eaves Street doesn't seem to be there, but if you go back to the census and find out what the adjoining streets were called you might be able to find it's rough location. Hope that helps. Harold Do you have Word for window, you can cut and paste your e-mail into that and then go Tools> Language> translate and choose russian to English. These are not perfect translations but are pretty good. If you do not have the facility send it on through. Hello Harold, Did you get a translation? I can translate if you need, but I'd have to look up some words in my dictionary. (There are some online translators like Etaco, but mainly a word at a time or not always accurate for whole sentences). Subject: Your Advert may be here I think it's about good prices to do with web services and servers. I.e. some selling message, possibly spam. Have you looked at http://www.qore.net/ - I don't know what that has to do with it. If you think you want to communicate with them, you could aske them to use English. Hi David No offence taken, I was pleased to receive your reply. I am intrigued to know who the ancestors of William and Mary are and why we are all standing firmly looking at a brickwall. I would rather not post identifications on the internet of the people I am helping I am sure you understand the reasons. One interesting scenario in my family line is that of Sarah Jane Cotterill daughter of William Cotterill and Mary Saddington. She was born in 1846 and had two children out of wedlock a Charles William Cotterill 1868 and later Edith Mabel Cotterill born 1878 dying 1892. Sarah Jane was in service and it is thought that the father of Sarah Jane is a Charles Edward DeQuincy. There is no father mentioned on either of the birth details. Sarah Jane married Charles in 1881 he dying 6 years later. Edith Mabel changed her name to DeQuincy before her death age 14. Some think this proof that Charles was the father. I do not, but I cannot find any further information to support my suspicions or theirs. I have posted details of this tree and would be happy to post again, just let me know, All the best, Chris ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Robinson" <stansthe1@tiscali.co.uk> To: <leicestershire-plus@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 31, 2008 2:52 PM Subject: Re: [LEI] Cotterill's of Billesden > Hi Chris. > > Sorry if I sounded a bit off putting no offence meant, I just wanted more > info. Dear Harold, Has anyone translated this for you? I did Russian A level 35 years ago, so have forgotten a lot, but could check out the broad details if really necessary. I have a sneaking suspicion it's nothing to do with Family History, but a financial scam. The subject looks like it says something like "You Receipt could be here". But I might be wrong. A proper translation of more of it would be necessary to check it out properly.
